Level 1 and 2 instructor Certification

Students will now complete the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Online Course or the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Course within the USA Archery Education Hub at their own pace. Upon successful completion of the online course, students will then register for an in-person Practical Course through USA Archery.

 

Practical Course Details:

Level 1 Details

  • Length: 4 hours

  • Time: 9:00AM - 1:00PM

  • Cost: $60

  • Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Level 2 Details

  • Length: 8 hours

  • Time: 9:00AM - 6:00PM (including lunch break)

    • Lunch is provided

  • Cost: $150

  • Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Prerequisites for level 1

  • Minimum age is 15

  • Register for the Practical through your USA Archery before attending the practical course (this is needed in order to verify that you have completed the online course, and to confirm with USA Archery that you completed the Practical at its conclusion.)

  • Minimum age is 18

  • SafeSport Training

  • USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Course (Level 1 is not a prerequisite for Level 2)

  • Membership to USA Archery* (must be an Adult or Youth All-Access Membership) or National Field Archery Association (NFAA)

  • Register for the Practical through your USA Archery account before attending the practical course (this is needed in order to verify that you have completed the online course, and to confirm with USA Archery that you completed the Practical at its conclusion.)

Benefits of Level 2

  • Qualified to teach the Level I Instructor Certification Course

  • Eligible to apply for Level II Instructor Trainer Certification

  • Qualified to be the lead Instructor for an Explore Archery Program, JOAD Program, Adult Archery Program and/or Collegiate Archery Program Club

  • Eligible to receive USA Archery insurance coverage.



*A Temporary, Recreational, and/or Youth Membership option will not satisfy the membership requirement.

Please allow for a 2 week period after completing the Practical before receiving your certificate

Please be sure to complete the registration process before attending the practical.
