Easton Salt Lake Archery Center presents its annual Rocky Mountain Classic Shoot! The Rocky Mountain Classic is a V-Formation shot from 20-65 yards with money, fun, and youth divisions. All money divisions will receive 60% of the registration fee’s for their divisions; distributed across the top 20% of the competitors of that division.

Layout:

  • Field is composed of 20 targets placed in a v formation. (Figure A)

    • Cub and Youth field will be slightly altered. (Figure B)

Targets:

  • Targets will be five color 10 ring faces

    • Young Adult, Adult, Senior Divisions: 40cm (20-30 yds), 60cm (35-50 yds), 80cm (55-65 yds)

    • Cub & Youth divisions: 40cm (20-30 yds), 60cm (35-50 yds), 80cm (40, 45, 50 yds)

Distance in yards:

  • Young Adults, Adult, & Senior Divisions: 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 (Figure A)

  • Cub & Youth: 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 40, 45, 50 (Figure B)

Shooting Rules:

  • Three arrows shot per end

  • Archers will rotate to next distance after each end in a clockwise direction

  • 2 minutes per end

  • Shooting line will alter between AB/CD and CD/AB each end

Scoring:

  • Scoring area of each target will consist of 10 scoring rings increasing in sequential order from outer most ring inward. Outer most ring value is 1 and inner most ring value is 10. Targets also consist of a small slightly lighter shaded “X” ring which is also valued at 10 points. “X” count will be used as a tie breaker.

  • Arrow shaft need only touch a line to count towards the inner ring value bordering the line.

NFAA Age Divisions:

  • Youth

    • Cub (11 & younger)

    • Youth (12-14 years old)

  • Adult/Young Adult

    • Young Adult (15-17 years old)

    • Adult (18+ years old)

    • Senior (50+ years old)

*Silver Senior and Master Senior age divisions will not be independently recognized. All Senior divisions are incorporated into Senior (50+ years old)

Bow Divisions:

  • Freestyle: Any sight and written memorandum, hand operated release aid, rear stabilizer may not touch archer

  • Barebow: Stabilizers allowed, finger position can move

  • Freestyle Limited: freestyle with fingers only

  • Freestyle Bowhunter: Max of 5 pin FIXED sight, stabilizer cannot exceed 12 inches, no magnification

  • Traditional: Stabilizer cannot exceed 12 inches, index finger must touch the arrow, single anchor point.

  • Freestyle Limited Recurve: Olympic Recurve

All equipment used must adhere to NFAA By-Laws Article II: NFAA Shooting Styles and Equipment Rules.

** Arrows limited to 27/64'“ diameter or smaller, Shaft diameter includes arrow wrap. Arrow points may not exceed .425” in diameter**

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Registration closes June 18th, 2024 at midnight.

  • There is NO on-site registration, only check-in.

  • Tournament Date is June 22nd, 2024

  • 9 AM and 2 PM (Overflow) Lines

  • Check-in is at 8 AM

  • Shoot begins at 9 AM

  • Shoot ends at 6 PM Approximately

  • Awards immediately after shooting ends

    *Blank bale will be allowed from 8:00am to 8:45am

**Once registration closes, archers will be assigned a line time. Like archers WILL NOT be assigned on separate line times. I.E. all money shooters will be assigned the same line time.**
